Bespoke Hearth Design & Installation

Our first task was collaborating with the client to design a hearth meeting their custom specifications. After settling on the slate material and dimensions, we carefully measured and cut the hearth onsite, taking care to achieve the desired size and shape.

With the gorgeous slate hearth complete, we proceeded to mark the ceiling, mapping out the Parkray Aspect 5 multifuel stove placement and twin wall flue path.

Step-by-Step Twin Wall Flue Installation

To minimise disruption, we first cut a neat hole in the ceiling by removing just half a dozen slates. After safely extracting the insulation and membrane, we built the 5′′ twin wall flue system section-by-section, starting from the stove flue collar fitting.

Venturing outdoors, we constructed the external flue up to the proper height per regulations, securing it firmly in place with a wall bracket and rafter-mounted roof support. With the twin wall flue fully stabilised, we then refitted the ceiling slates and sealed the roof to prevent leaks. The final exterior touches included adding a storm collar and decorative cowl.

Multifuel Stove Testing & Completion

Prior to sign-off, we thoroughly tested the Parkray Aspect 5 KW stove, ensuring proper draw and function. We also installed a carbon monoxide alarm for safety, registered the stove with HETAS, and provided a full operational tutorial for the client.

Throughout the multifuel wood burner installation process, we took care to keep the property tidy and minimise impact. Our clients were overjoyed with their new multifuel stove and warm, welcoming atmosphere it brings to their home.
