Bringing Expertise and Diligence to a Tailored Multifuel & Wood Burner Installation

Our client desired a multifuel, wood burning stove capable of heating their spacious detached home during the cooler months. After consulting on the layout and heating requirements, we recommended the Parkray Aspect 7, a robust and efficient 5KW multi-fuel stove.

To actualise their vision, we leveraged our expertise in fitting wood burners, multifuel stoves, and flues of all types. We began by marking the intended location and carefully cutting and removing the skirting, carpet, and underlay to prep the area. Custom slate was measured and trimmed to fit the client’s specifications prior to installation.

With the slate positioned, we shifted focus to the exterior brickwork, using precision tools to cut a 45° hole through the interior and exterior walls. After aligning the twin wall flue system, the newly crafted vent was sealed to prevent heat loss and maximise efficiency.

Assembling an Effective Twin Wall Flue System with Care

Working outdoors, sections of insulated stainless steel twin wall flue were methodically assembled to reach the necessary height per building regulations.

Once aligned with the interior stove, the external flue was firmly braced into position using hardened steel brackets. The vent was then sealed with cement to prevent moisture ingress and safeguard the chimney system.

With the stove and flue fully installed, a carbon monoxide detector was mounted in an optimal location. We thoroughly tested the Parkray Aspect 7 multi-fuel stove under real-world conditions, adjusting the flue draught to ensure ideal combustion and heat output.

Before concluding the installation, we carefully explained general usage and maintenance requirements to the client, guiding them to harness the full potential of their new stove while upholding safety. As a final measure, the stove was officially registered with HETAS to activate the warranty and confirm compliance with building regulations.
